Biostone was established in 2017 in Nottingham UK and is an ISO13485:2016 certified manufacturer. Our goal is to utilize proprietary technology to create a new line of synthetic bone graft products to improve the clinical outcome and the life quality for the patient.

Biostone’s first bone graft product, si-Mochi, received the US FDA 510K Approval in 2021. si-Mochi was created after years of academic and clinical research-based. Its unique porous structures not only accelerate osteoingrowth but also enables rapid integration with the host bone remodeling process. Therefore, this provides an innovative and optimal solution for surgical bone graft procedures.

  • si-Mochi
    si-Mochi is designed to accumulate cell growth factors in situ by its unique chemical and physical characteristics. It is the only SBG product able to conduct rapid osteocytes formation within the implant site. just like Autograft....

    • si-Mochi contain porous calcium phosphate ceramic granules, which contain SiO2 nano-particles to stimulate osteoingrowth and induce bi-phase (20% β-TCP + 80% HA) formation from pure hydroxyapatite. si-Mochi has macroporesm midipores and microspaces strategically arranged to form a unique porous structure. All pores are interconnected with an overall 80% porosity. The structure will trap osteoblasts and transform into osteocytes within the ceramic body. Therefore, achieving high quality osteointegration down to the cellular level. si-Mochis is pre-packed in easy-to-use applicators in putty form and moldable for various clinical uses. si-Mochi represents the most innovative and clinically relevant solution with our outstanding quality and manufacturing process.
