Symgery: A Synergy of surgical practice and education

Symgery offers pioneering immersive learning approaches using high-fidelity simulation that mirrors real-life spine procedures, as well as biomimetic realistic tissue simulation.  Our T SYM utilizes state-of-the-art simulation technology & combines high-resolution graphics, best-in-class haptics, and embedded learning content to develop practical and cognitive skills of young surgeons.  Our T SYM simulator will be at NASS 2022 with new spine procedures--available for demonstration and trial!  Learners can practice surgical procedures and techniques while tracking their progress over time. We will also be conducting demonstrations with our newest B SYM - a biomimetic simulator with realistic anatomy of the spine, and developed using IP technology developed by the Mayo Clinic and our team.  B SYM allows the use of real instruments and medical device products (such as pedicle screws) for effective real-life simulation.  B SYM includes life-like biomimetic tissues of skin, fat, muscle, ligament, dura and bone (cortical and cancellous bone).  Human models will be available mirroring a wide range of pathologies, including children.
