The KG2 was created as a complete system to address a number of spinal surgery’s most vexing challenges in lumbar fusion procedures, including: delivering sufficient graft into the disc space, distributing graft throughout the disc space and integrating the implant; reducing collateral tissue damage risk; and reducing surgical site infection risk. The KG2 is a complete system that allows combining of steps, saving time in the procedure and in the OR.
The KG2 Surge system is a single-patient-use bone graft delivery tool coupled with a 3D-printed titanium I-Beam fusion implant. The implant has no lateral walls and serves as a conduit for unimpeded flow of a broad spectrum of bone graft materials through the pre-attached, rectangular insertion tool.
