AMEDICA - Redefining Interbody Fusion

Amedica is the only company with the scientific know-how to produce medical grade Silicon Nitride - a patented platform technology for spinal applications. Silicon Nitride offers doctors and patients an alternative to PEEK and titanium that is osteopromotive, anti-bacterial and has enhanced imaging capabilites. Amedica is the only company in the world that has FDA clearance to manufacture and distribute silicon nitride implants.

Amedica also offers a line of modular pedicle screw products to complement our proprietary interbody devices.

Brands: Valeo, Taurus, Preference, Cervical, Lumbar, Interbody Devices, Cages, Pedicle Screw Systems,

 New Products for 2018

  • Taurus Pedicle Screw System
Amedica's new modular pedicle screw system where strength connects with intra-operative flexibility....

  • Modularity of system improves decortication of bone near the screw neck and optimizes graft placement for fusion.
    Separate h
eadbodies can be attached in-situ or prior to insertion to allow direct screw to screw distraction for improved visualization.
Color-coded ployaxial screws assist in quick screw identification and selection. Cannulated screws allow for guided screw placement

Tension head holds position at any angle.

  • Valeo C+CSC with Lumen Cervical Interbody

  • The Valeo C+CsC with Lumen Interbody Fusion Device is a composite spinal fusion implant that combines different densities of Amedica's proprietary medical grade silicon nitride ceramic. An outer shell of solid silicon nitride is manufactured around a porous core, called CsC (Cancellous structured Ceramic).

CsC reflects a truly unique technology and is the first structural porous bioceramic available in a medical implant.

Published clinical data from the CASCADE clinical trial (Arts, et.al 2017) have shown that CsC can achieve spinal fusion sua sponte, i.e., in the absence of added bone grafts, and with success rates at least as favorable as bone autograft, i.e., the gold standard in bone fusion.

The Valeo C+CsC with Lumen Interbody Fusion Device is indicated for intervertebral body fusion of the cervical spine in skeletally mature patients.
